The brief medical history of the patient (age of 78 @ 2008) is outlined below:
  • Diabetes and Hypertension since his late 50's and allergic asthma since his 60's.
  • Mild brain stroke at least one time per year since 1994 and gradually lost muscle strength on right leg and arm.
  • Brain VP shunt operation in 2001 to relieve pressure inside skull, and wheel-chair support required for movement since then.
  • Major brain stroke in 2004 and lost voice function and eyesight function degraded significantly, became severely paralyzed on bed required nasogastric tube support and 24/7 intensive care services then.
  • Major pneumonia infection in 2006 and had tracheotomy tube incision to sustain lung function, required continuous respiratory system support ever since.  Also, eyesight function lost completely, eyelid closed all the time and can be opened by outside force sometime, could respond voice and sound response occasionally.
  • Urine catheterization to remove residual urine is required at least two-time per day @ 2008
